When your kids take over the tutorial and make it better When the Students Become…
From Oasis to RoVive: Why I Rebuilt My Practice from the Ground Up

What happens when you strip away everything that doesn’t serve your patients and rebuild based only on what does?
I started this presentation by asking everyone to close their eyes and take a four-sided breath.
Four counts in. Four counts hold. Four counts out. Four counts hold.
Not because it’s trendy. Because arriving matters. Being present matters. And if I’m asking you to consider a significant investment in your health, you deserve to show up fully for that decision.
So let me tell you what happened, why RoVive exists, and whether this might be right for you.
The Evolution: Why Oasis Had to End for RoVive to Begin
Fourteen and a half years ago, I started Oasis Functional Medicine. It was the next iteration beyond traditional Western medicine’s approach to chronic disease. And for emergency care, when I broke my wrist last year, and when my wife took a soccer ball to the face and temporarily lost vision. I’m deeply grateful for conventional medicine. It has its place.
But for chronic disease management? Chronic symptoms? We all know the limitations. Medications get layered on. Root causes remain unexplored. Patients feel unheard.
Oasis was better. Maybe the second iteration. By early this year, possibly the third. But managed care, which I absolutely cracked myself up putting a little Darth Vader image next to in the presentation, severely limited what we could do. The depth we could reach. The personalization we could offer.
The life cycle of Oasis ended more abruptly than I envisioned. And yet, it nourished the beginnings of three new practices. One of them is RoVive.
RoVive lets me unite science, spirit, and strategy in a way I’ve never been able to before. More personalized than Oasis. More comprehensive than my longevity program. And built entirely around what actually serves transformation.
Who This Is For (And Who It’s Not)

This is designed for adults 40 to 85 who want to dramatically improve their health.
The ideal mindset: proactive, resourced (time, effort, finances), and invested in a long-term partnership. That last part matters to me. I value the connection with the people I work with.
The Suffering Spectrum
When I say “suffering,” I don’t only mean severe illness. Look at these four stages:
-
Struggling – Chronic symptoms, declining function, lost vitality
-
Stable but limited – Managing, but not thriving
-
Functioning well – Good health, room for optimization
-
Superhero state – Peak vitality, resilience, clarity
My definition of suffering: anyone not consistently in that fourth stage.
Maybe you’re dealing with fatigue, brain fog, autoimmune issues, or metabolic dysfunction. Maybe you’re actually in stage three but want to stay there as you age. Maybe you’re a longevity enthusiast who wants to continuously refine.
All of that qualifies.
Real Results: What’s Actually Possible

Let me share Miss T’s story. She joined my longevity program about a year ago. She was already in pretty good health, stage three, maybe. But she had a strong why: her young children. She wanted to be around for them for a long, long time.
First biological age test (OhMage):
-
Calendar age: 57.4 years
-
Biological age: 54 years (already impressive)
Six months later:
-
Calendar age: 57.95 years
-
Biological age: 48 years
We took six years off her biological age in six months. Through targeted interventions based on her specific physiology, her story, and her data.
This isn’t magic. It’s precision. It’s listening. It’s knowing which levers to pull, when, and why.
Who This Is NOT For
Let me be direct about fit.
This won’t work if you:
-
Want shortcuts or quick fixes
-
Expect insurance to dictate your healthcare
-
Need in-person visits (we’re 100% virtual right now)
-
Want constant messaging access without boundaries
-
Aren’t willing to invest time, effort, and resources
RoVive honors depth and boundaries, so every client gets the full focus they deserve. Respecting that structure is what allows true transformation.
The RoVive Method: Four Phases of Transformation

Phase 1: Roots
Your story. Who you are as a soul in this physical body.
Listening deeply at the start saves months, sometimes years, of trial and error later. I want to understand not just your symptoms, but your context. Your history. Your patterns. Your why.
Phase 2: Reveal
This is where testing comes in.
We use insurance (Medicare or PPO) for as much lab work as possible. Functional testing only when it makes sense, when it will actually change our decisions, and change your personalized plan.
The labs make the invisible visible. We’re revealing what your body is trying to say, then translating that into a clear path forward.
Phase 3: Refine
The Great Eight Pillars always take precedence:
-
Food nutrition
-
Water nutrition
-
Sleep nutrition
-
Movement nutrition
-
Air nutrition (quality and how you breathe)
-
Electrical nutrition (light, EMF, circadian rhythm)
-
Great Spirit (whatever that means for you)
-
Connection
These foundational pillars come first. Always.
I had a new patient yesterday who’s getting an A in seven out of eight pillars. Only one needed work: movement. When we strengthen that one weak pillar, we get exponentially more benefit than jumping straight to “sexy” testing and therapies.
Once the foundation is solid, then we move to cutting-edge protocols, advanced testing, peptides, targeted supplementation, whatever your specific physiology needs.
Phase 4: Rise
This is the recalibration phase.
Healing isn’t a one-time event. It’s a practice. Life throws curveballs. You get knocked off balance. The question is: do you have a guide to help you get back to your superhero state?
We continually revisit what worked, recalibrate, and rise stronger.
The Team Supporting You

-
Dr. Yoshi Rahm – Me. Functional medicine physician, brain health and longevity specialist
-
Health Coach Tracy – Many of you already know her
-
Executive Coach Josh – Only taking clients through RoVive now. Incredible at what he does
-
Concierge Coordinator Heidi – Your administrative liaison
This is an intentional team designed to turn insight into action and accountability.
What You’re Actually Getting

1. World-Class Virtual Care
100% virtual. Precision medicine from anywhere.
I love in-person. Nothing replaces it. But right now, this is where I need to be. And virtual offers real benefits: no driving, no waiting rooms, your 60-minute appointment actually takes 60 minutes.
I can practice as a physician in close to 20 states. For other states, I work as a health coach (can’t prescribe medications, but still extremely effective).
2. Deeply Discounted Visits
Your monthly fee purchases discounted access to:
-
Me: Significantly reduced from my à la carte rate
-
Health coaching: 30-40% discount
-
Executive coaching: Only available through RoVive
3. My Full Clinical Expertise
I’m part of two high-end masterminds, one longevity-focused, one brain-focused. I pay significant money to be in rooms with the world’s leading experts. I’m taking all that knowledge and distilling it into your care. That’s part of what you’re purchasing.
4. Advanced AI Functional Medicine Software
We’re using AI wisely. Not to replace clinical judgment, but to enhance it. I’ve been on the advisory boards for several cutting-edge health AI companies, testing what’s actually useful versus what’s just trendy.
5. Cutting-Edge Testing Access
-
New genetic testing (TruDiagnostic – best on the market)
-
Environmental toxin panels
-
Advanced gut testing (the old functional medicine poop tests are outdated)
-
Metabolomics with digital twinning
-
Biological age clocks
Only when it makes sense. Only when it changes the plan.
6. Intentional High-Touch Partnership
Check-ins from me, from Tracy, from Heidi, whatever frequency serves you best. Some people want minimal contact. Others need regular reminders. We adapt to what works for you.
7. Access Between Appointments
With healthy boundaries, I want to hear from you. If something significant happens, I don’t want you thinking, “I didn’t want to bug him.” That’s part of providing better service than I ever have before.
The Investment

Before I tell you the number, let me ask:
If you knew RoVive could take you from where you are now to your superhero state and you knew it would actually work, what would that be worth to you?
I’m not asking rhetorically. Actually, come up with a number. Consider the true value this would bring to your life.
The monthly investment: $775 (modest increase at some point in 2026)
No long-term commitment. Just a 30-day notice if it’s not the right fit. The contract technically says 12 months because I value long-term partnerships; that’s what I enjoy. But if circumstances change, your finances shift, you move somewhere I can’t practice, or you just don’t feel we’re delivering what you expected, you can leave with 30 days’ notice.
I never want to handcuff anybody.
What That $775 Includes:
-
My thinking and planning time (not you sitting in waiting rooms)
-
Significantly discounted visits
-
Access to health coaching, executive coaching
-
Between-appointment support
-
Cutting-edge testing and protocols
-
HSA/FSA eligible
-
Can submit super bills to PPO insurance (not Medicare)
Context: My à la carte rate is $2,500/hour. That might sound crazy. But with my new patient yesterday, I spent 45-50 minutes before the appointment reviewing her history, 60 minutes in the appointment, 90 minutes after creating her plan, and I’ll spend another 20-40 minutes today on follow-up. That’s four hours for one visit.
The energy exchange reflects the depth of work.
A Note on Availability

This isn’t manufactured scarcity, it’s reality.
Because of how much time I invest in each person, I can only take 4-6 new clients per month.
When I started Oasis, by 2015, I was down to 10-20 new patients per year. By 2017, I pretty much stopped taking new clients entirely. I had hundreds of people on a waiting list that I was never able to see. Not because I didn’t want to. I just didn’t have the capacity.
I have openings now. For the first time in years. But I will fill up, and a wait list will form.
If this resonates, don’t wait.
Real People, Real Transformations

Miss U: Cancer Journey
She went through all four phases. Still in the rising phase, constantly recalibrating. She’s healthier than she’s ever been. Cancer-free by all measurements.
The remarkable part? She’s grateful for the diagnosis. It improved her life.
Would she have gotten there without guidance? Maybe. She had other guides, too. But having the right support made the path clearer, faster, and less overwhelming.
Mr. R: Veteran, Physical Specimen
One of the most athletic people I’ve worked with. But he’d hit rock bottom. Through continuous work, refining, recalibrating, and rising again after life’s curveballs, he’s reached superhero status multiple times.
Check out his video testimonial on the website if you want to hear his story directly.
Miss E: Severe Fatigue
Long-term fatigue that nobody could figure out. For her, it was actually straightforward once we identified the root cause: low body temperature.
Most functional medicine doctors don’t know how to address that. Definitely not traditional doctors. Rapid recovery once we fixed it.
The Question You Should Ask Yourself
If nothing changes in the next 12 months, how will that feel?
How much will you suffer along the way? What opportunities will you miss? What experiences with your family, your work, your life will pass you by?
What is becoming your own superhero actually worth to you?
Not in a manipulative way. In an honest way. These are the questions that create clarity.
Why You Need a Guide

How important was it that Luke Skywalker had Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda?
Would the Karate Kid have been the Karate Kid without Mr. Miyagi?
To become your superhero, you need guides. It doesn’t have to be me. It doesn’t have to be RoVive. But you need guides.
We all need guides: financial guides, fitness guides, spiritual guides.
Nobody gets to mastery alone.

I’m not desperate for clients. I only want to work with people where there’s real alignment. If it’s not the right fit, I’ll tell you. If the timing isn’t right, I’ll tell you that too. If you’re working with someone great already, I’ll encourage you to keep seeing them.
This is about fit. Not volume.
A Final Thought
You were not made to decline.
You were made to rise.
Whether you work with me or someone else, I hope this gives you an image to hold onto of what’s possible. I hope it’s inspiring regardless of whether RoVive is your path.
And if you know someone this might resonate with, someone who’s ready, resourced, and committed to their transformation, feel free to pass this along.
Thank you for your time. Thank you for your presence. Thank you for considering what it means to become your own superhero.
